Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us] [Mal. 4:2.] To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness…[Isa. 9:2.] (Luke 1:78, 79 AMP)
In the Chronicles of Narnia the country is icy, fearful, and in a shadow. That’s our heart sometimes. So God, unlike any other god, gives his heart of tender mercy, for a Light to dawn and visit with us. The four children in the Chronicles of Narnia were a catalyst for Aslan to do his work that brought light and warmth to the land. The Light here in reality came to visit. He came to have a cup of coffee and chat and brighten our depressing, worrisome world. He’ll talk for hours if we need Him to. Because He’s the Son of the One with the heart of tender mercy.
