He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:11-13 HCSB)
Jesus, Son of God, Messiah, God of angel armies, came to us, baby wrapped in cloths to keep warm. His entry and life were simple and humble. But what He did while He was here was royal, powerful, loving and in a sense mystical in the heavenly realm.
One accomplishment in the heavenlies was to make us children born of God. We assume we were born from our mom’s travail, and from the desire of a man but when we believe in Him we’re of God…Jesus, Son of God, Messiah, God of angel armies. In heaven maybe we’re wrapped in cloth waiting to live our glorious lives.
