Rick Warren was preaching a sermon on grace and he said “Grace is for everyone but is customized for you.” God chose us all loving each one the way a mother loves each baby as they are born. Each one is precious. That’s a little picture of the way God loves us and chose us. He didn’t choose us for being alone or for slavery but for His own, next to, near to, even hidden within Him.
I don’t know what all happened before the foundation of the world but somewhere deep in the foundation is where we were created before we were placed in our mom’s womb. Psalm 139:15 AMP says we were embroidered in the mysterious depths.
We were each created to be His, look like Him, sound like Him, love like Him. And best of all we were created to love our Savior. We can meet Him each day in His word. We can sing songs of pure worship to Him. We can tell him our deepest secrets in prayer.
Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love. (Ephesians 1:4 AMP)
