Citizens

Q
The citizens of heaven,
Would speak a different language.
It would be a language of love.
Spoken by acts of kindness to those who are hurting
By gifts of mercy to those hungry to be forgiven..
By the pouring out of grace to those of us, all of us who are in a rough patch of life.

We would love unselfishly.
Meet needs.
We would worship our King often.
And even though we live inside the Kingdom
The King would live inside of us.
Because we need Him to face this world
And the powers, principalities and authorities that live here.
Greater is He that is in us than the evil one of this world.
One Day, as we are patiently waiting
He’ll come.
Our Savior the One who loved us on the cross.
The One who said it’s finished
Then poured out Himself completely and totally for us

But we are citizens of the state
(commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven,
and from it also we earnestly and patiently await
[the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,
