Seat of Mercy

Esther needed to talk to her husband who happened to be king.
His heart didn’t receive people like our God does.
He was rather angry and might take her life.
But she was called to save her people so she said, “I’m going in. If I perish, I perish.”
She had been praying and fasting and when she went in she found grace in his eyes.
He said he’d give her just about anything she wanted.
She wanted a dinner with him.
And the rest of the story is in Esther, one of the books in the Bible.
We can come with no fear into the throne room of our God.
In it, where we meet Him is the seat of mercy, not the seat of anger.

He loves when we ask for time with Him.
When we tell Him we’re in need,
He’ll raise His scepter
and He’ll give His all to be sure we are taken care of.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most Hebrews 4:16 NLT
