A Life of Prayer

Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord …(Philippians 3:8a AMP)
Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; (1 Thessalonians 5:17 AMP)
Billy Graham said “We were created to live a life of prayer.”

We pray because we or someone we love has needs. We can list them one by one to God. We can plead with God for an answer.

These are all legitimate ways of praying.
But there’s another way. It’s our overwhelmingly precious privilege to know Jesus. When we pray perseveringly and look Jesus in the eyes as we talk or ask he senses our heart and we sense His. When we bow at His feet with our face to the floor we worship and we meet Him there. When all we have courage to do is touch the hem of His garment He meets us there.
I love to watch a sunset and just carry on a conversation with Him in my heart.
In the comments would you give one way that you feel closer to Jesus?
