Confidant and Companion

David joyed in watching the rejoicing of his people. But no one joyed him like his confidant and companion, Jehovah, his God. They had a relationship close like no other.  His joy turned to peace when he laid down to rest. He may have been in  danger but in his God’s hand he was safe and sound. We can lie down in peace roo.

You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and new wine abound. I will both lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, Lord, make me live in safety. Psalms 4:7-8 HCSB http://bible.com/72/psa.4.7-8.hcsb
