Christmas is over and the house is tranquil and peaceful. But for the shepherds back at the first Christmas they had just seen tiny God. How could they settle or be still? They had to talk. They had to discuss. They had to laugh and wonder and smile at the the thought of their Savior, that Angels introduced, found in a stable in a manger. Our houses can be filled with children or a quieter less active home. But sweet thoughts of Jesus can remain keeping Him near and close like cuddling with your baby or curled up in a chair with a blanket with a winter rain outside.
The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.Luke 2:20 (NLT)
